Q & A

Get to Know Melissa

WHAT'S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER THUS FAR?

Co-Hosting the MetGala for E! Online last year. It was the highest rating for E! streaming broadcast ever!

how would you describe your style?

My tenants of style are to always feel confident, unique, and sexy.

HOW DOES A GREAT OUTFIT MAKE YOU FEEL?

The right cut, structure, and highlighting of my features (like my legs) makes me feel most comfortable so I can lead with confidence. A great outfit can change my mood, make me feel empowered to help others, send that pitch and take up space.

HOW HAS ACCESS TO FASHION/EVOLUTION OF INCLUSIVE FASHION IMPACTED YOUR OWN PERSONAL STYLE?

It has definitely allowed me to wear designers that were not accessible to me before due to size limitations.  Woman size 14+ want to wear more than handbags and shoes. It was time the industry took notice.

Is there a brand/style you'd love to wear that doesn't exist yet in plus?

A lot of Australian brands are not really size inclusive which is disappointing. I also get frustrated when a size 10 is labeled XL.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT 11 HONORÉ | DIA & CO INTEGRATING AND BECOMING THE PREMIER DESTINATION FOR PLUS FASHION?

I’m so excited because both (11 & Dia) are such industry leaders and have the possibility to make fashion more accessible to so many people

What are you excited to add to your wardrobe this year?

I’m working on not adding anything, but restyling all the things I own. I have a lot of clothes and this year I’m focused on doing more with less. Styling in a way which is authentically yours is truly having personal style.

Anything else you're looking forward to this year?

I’m headed back to Paris this May for my second Elevate You In Paris Style Retreat. If you’re stuck in a style and self-care rut, desire inspiration in the city of lights intimate luxury retreat is for you! Learn more on my website. Renew, ReStyle, and Reconnect in Paris!

What do you want to see from fashion in the next 5 years?

MORE color inclusivity, MORE extended sizes and MORE sustainability in fashion!

IS THERE A CHARITY YOU'D LIKE TO SPOTLIGHT?
