Plus Size Swimsuits
The Best Plus Size Swimsuits for You
Our swimsuits are curated with both fit and fashion in mind. After all, amazing style is part of a life well-lived. Our collection has a variety of styles and patterns, so you can find a bathing suit that reflects your taste and body shape. We carry bathing suits all year round because we know that someplace, somewhere, there’s a beach or pool that has blue skies, balmy breezes, warm temperatures…and it’s waiting for you to frolic in the sun. If you want a complete look; pair your swimwear with a flirty matching coverup or sarong, so you’ll look chic sipping a cool drink poolside.
How to Find Plus Size Swimsuits for Your Body Type
To find the best bathing suits, you must understand your body type. Everyone is built differently; and the key to finding the best plus-size swimwear is understanding your body type. We here at Dia & Co are size inclusive and have swimwear for every body type that run in size from 10-32, so you’ll find the one and two-piece swimsuits you love and feel good in.
There are six body types: pear, apple, diamond, inverted triangle, hourglass, and rectangle. Pear-shaped bodies resemble the fruit with narrow shoulders and bust, a defined waist, and wider bottom half. Pear shapes will often find that tankinis work best for them, as they’re not too loose on top or too tight on the bottom. Another option are one-piece swimsuits that have bandeau tops, deep necklines, or any details around the neckline or straps that help visually create a balanced look for pear shapes. The hourglass body shape has a full bust, full hips, and defined waist. Hourglasses look amazing in retro-inspired swimwear, halter neck tankinis, swim skirts with a bikini top, or a one piece that shows off your waist. Rectangular body shapes have hips, waist and shoulders that are similar in width. They can wear any type of swimsuit out there. Apple body types have narrow shoulders, and a wide bust and torso, and they look great in one-piece bathing suits that have an empire waist, vertical stripes, color blocking or mixed patterns. An inverted triangle body shape has strong shoulders and narrow hips, and, like the rectangle, they can wear any swimsuit style.
What Type of Trendy Plus Size Swimsuits Do We Have?
Whether you’re in the mood for a one-piece, bikini, tankini, or a bathing suit that’s perfect for surfing the waves, we’ve got it! If you’re looking for support and coverage, try a halter top or high neck suit. If you’re in search of a suit for exercise or lap swimming, try a one-piece with a racerback. Here’s a quick overview of the plus size bathing suits that we carry.
- One-Piece Swimsuits: The basic one-piece swimsuit has a scoop neck and back and wide straps. Competitive swimmers wear them as they cut down on friction and drag whilst they’re racing. One-pieces can be styled with a racerback, a deep V-front, cutouts on the side, halter necks, one shoulder, surplice, strapless and more. This simple style is updated every season in a wide array of colors and prints. One-piece swimsuits with long sleeves and zippered necklines are great for surfing, diving, and snorkeling. A one-piece that has a cutout back and sides is called a monokini as it looks like a bikini from the back and sides but is really a one-piece.
- Two-Piece Swimsuits: A two-piece swimsuit is a bathing costume that has a separate top and bottom. The two-piece is a catchall phrase for a variety of two-piece styles. Two-piece trendy swimwear can range from vintage-inspired to teeny weeny bikinis, to swim skirts and swim shorts. Here at Dia&Co, we sell our two piece swimsuits separately so that you can have the perfect fitting swimwear.
After you’ve picked up a bathing suit or two, take a look at our plus size coverup selection. We have coordinating sarongs, kimonos, and oversized tops that can be worn on and off the beach.
